I was reading the DVD box for this movie at the video store a while ago, and the plot sounded pretty much exactly like the first movie. It seemed like the only difference was the characters. Is this one really worth seeing?

I liked the first movie but this one is awful. Everything about it is worse than the original and it commits the crime of actually being boring. How can a subject as wonderful as time travel be boring? Watch Butterfly Effect 2 and find out.

The thing about the sequal, is it can't be exactly the same so they tried to make it different and sometimes it'll be better sometimes it will just suck. Thats why i dont watch sequals often.

Nope, its a bad movie i don't recommend it.
Some people that like this movie might give me crap for saying this but its the truth.
It's nothing compared to the original.
i just saw the sequel a couple of hours ago...and to tell the truth i dont think it was as bad as some people here are making it out to be...i mean its definitely not as good as the original...but if you can find it in yourself to go into this movie with a non-biased mind and just take it for what its worth i think you'll think its not bad...i mean given the fact that this one has no real famous actors doesnt really make a plausable excuse...i mean i, myself, love movies...i never really say anything bad about actors or their acting cuz when you think about it if you have high expectations for the acting you can never really enjoy things like the storyline or the plot or little details...and you wont be able to make the experience enjoyable for yourself...i mean i've seen alot of different aspects of acting...from high school one act plays to large budget hollywood blockbusters...if you expect nothing but the best from the actors in a movie i can imagine how bad of a time you'll have at a high school one act play pre-competition where the actors dont even have their costumes ready yet...you just need to have an imagination and take things for what they are...lol...ok that was a little long :S...
