Hi, I have a question about the alternate ending, the one where Evan kills himself before the birth:
in the sequence where we see everyone's life going well, there's a newborn baby girl with a happy red-haired woman and her husband... who's that baby? thanx
I'm assuming you're talking about the first film.
What happens in the alternate version is that Evan's 'gift' is a genetic trait; his father had it and his grandfather had it. He was his mothers 4th stillborn and we are lead to believe the first 3 pregnancies all had the same thing (kids had the same trait and eventually prevented their own birth). His mother leaves Jason, remarries and has a girl with her new husband.
