this movie's biggest probelm...

the fact that it's entitled 'The Butterfly Effect 2'.

the Ashton Kutcher brigade came piling into seeing this expecting more of the same (they probably even though Kutcher was in it), and what they got was a cheap throw out DTV sequel.

This movie was a cash in, nothing more, nothing less. Watch the dvd extra's and you'll see that the crew were giving an extremely tight budget and 20 days to shoot this. The script was being re-written on set because it was such a rush.

These things get knocked out to make the people moaning about this movie to part with their cash once more, and it looks like it worked.

having said that, you take away the Butterfly Effect part away from the title and watch this with an open mind and you have a pretty decent little sci-fi flick, considering the pressures it was made under.
