as much as you want to laugh at this you know there's some right-wing women's group screening this movie... there are probably some relatively normal teenage boys being shipped off to quack doctors based on the "facts" of this movie. (those boys won't be so normal when the pseudo-science gets through with them)

Dad should have talked to him about "limitations" and not "binging." the fact he was looking at porn at the swim meet is kinda over-the-top. But damn there are people on this forum who are commenting about looking at porn leading to rape!!!

Folks, there's something called SCIENCE. There are SCIENTIFIC STUDIES using the SCIENTIFIC METHOD.

Or do you want to just go back to restraining boys to the bed to keep them from "polluting themselves"? (wow, consider how many normal, well-balanced men that helped create!!!)

Porn can lead to rape, depending on the kind of porn and the kind of person. Try doing scientific study yourself before you write stuff off, Rasho. It's not about tying up boys or sending them to doctors, which I never suggested; it's simply about being a freaking parent and monitoring what they watch. The majority of people obviously don't become rapists (and the movie never once implied that they do), but if you don't think that seeing women or men utterly degraded, treated like sex slaves, or hurt doesn't affect people's minds (especially kids), you're blatantly wrong.

I remember a news show (either 60 Minutes or Nightline) with a group of 2 dozen high school senior boys being asked "how many of you have looked at porn pictures on the internet?" every single hand went up.

In this movie version the other boys in the locker room are horrified that the hero looked at porno... "because you looked at smutty pictures on so-and-so's computer, now he keeps getting nasty emails..." yeh right.

Yeah, how totally unrealistic. If his team mates saw him watching it they'd be asking what the website is. Not call him names and make fun of him.

I know it's like saying that kids who watch old Clint Eastwood movies would lead to murderous gun-toting rampages. This movie was ridiculous and so were his 'friends'. As a boy growing up, if we found a Hustler or Penthouse which Dad was always thinking he was hiding so well, we'd share them!

This is just the RW agenda. Nothing more, nothing less. No teen boy is going to come to an epiphany. In fact, he'll probably be glad he watched porn so his first sexual encounter would be halfway decent for the girl (or guy, w/e).

Oh yeah, people who don't stare at screens and fantasize are the ones living under rocks. Straight from the REAL world.

People have done studies showing how downright nasty young boys who watch porn can get, and the girls of that age testified to being startled and disgusted by the kinds of trashiness they saw in such boys. Yeah, they're REALLY enjoying the expertise and real-world stuff trash is showing those boys, can't WAIT to get them in bed. And this was the more liberal U.K.
