I never understood this part.
Dante: Plus, the lion comes in a couple days.
Alex: You're getting a lion?
Dante: Yeah.
Alex: Why?
Dante: To protect my *beep*
Alex: Never heard of a dog?
Dante: Dude, you can get past a dog. Nobody *beep* with a lion.
Alex: Yeah, that's true.

Then Alex says he just wants a bag of f@cking weed and Dante responses with "Woah You know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here." When he just stated beforehand that hes getting the lion in a few days...

nah he was jus sayin you cant raise your voice when a lion is here meaning when he comes in for more weed he better not raise his voice. kind of a warning.

I just wonder why Kane says at the party, "Looking back, maybe the lion thing was a bad idea" as if Kane had any part in making that decision and had the right to look back at it as a personal regret.

"Oh, my God. Bear is driving! How can that be?!"

yeah the key part of his quote (one of the funniest in the movie) is when the lions here, meaning he better not raise his lion the next time around.

As for K, I just took it that he had heard about Dante and the Lion, like a lot of people did on the new, and was just giving Dante some hindsight.
