Have they ever heard of a tripod?

Could they not afford a tripod? What was up with the look of shooting the whole thing with a hand held camera?

Did you ever hear of the concept of "shooting with the camera handheld"? It goes for many other movies also. Try understanding why people shoot from a tripod and why they shoot wth the camera on their shoulders and maybe you'll have a revelation;

The usage of the tripod detracts from the movie itself, whilst the handheld camera looks more like a subjective angle and therefor makes the viewer feel as if they're a part of the movie (as much as possible). Try seeing "Blairwitch project", i hear whole audiences got sick from camera movement (and the explanation would be that they got so involved in the movie that they soon got dizzy from the shaky camera - it was a little too much there, if you ask me).

So before you start asking silly questions, document yourself and don't throw mud on some other people's work, ok?

This movie Cineverite style. That means no tripod, no special effects, not a great deal of editing. The movie was meant to be an objective, documentary-like slice of life. Hand held camera wasn't just a random choice, isn't that obvious?

We're adults! How did that happen? And how do we make it stop?
