Romanians are mean people

i agree with the posts on this thread saying the issues in this film are not specific to Romania, and was thinking that if this was in the usa, lack of insurance would have kept mr lazarescu from being attended to,

however, i cannot help but ask, i think alot of viewers, were taken back by the lack of caring of the medical workers, how much of that is the romanian people's general disposition? i have been to romania before and not to make a general stereotype, but they strike me as often very mean people,

not trying to start something but thought i would throw it out there

I have visited Romania 4 times- twice for entire summers. Romanians are people- some nicer than others, some grumpy. I have never had any bad experiences OR been taken advantage of or ripped off. While I may just be lucky or blessed, to me thr Romanian disposition is very gentle and kind if you will take the time to try to learn the language and culture. I would do anything (well almost) to return this summer. Much nicer people than American big cities.

So how many Romanians have you actually met? I can't believe that they were all mean to you.
