Mahone.

This reboot is going to be *beep* without him, one of the most underrated characters in the show, he carried the fourth season on his back and was the most likeable by that time. I don't give two *beep* what he did in the second season, he was forced by the company, he's forgiven easily.

The funny thing about Mahone not being in the new season is that Paul Scheuring says he couldn't find a way to integrate the character when he found a way to integrate T-Bag. When last we saw Bagwell he was serving numerous consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole. If he's out and about and interacting with the other characters then he was either pardoned because people in the very near future have decided that rape, murder and escaping from a federal prison are not actually so bad in the grand scheme of things or each and every one of his convictions have been overturned on procedural grounds or he has escaped Fox River on his own and rather than leaving the country directly, he decides to rendezvous with people who hate him and would prefer him dead. Meanwhile, Mahone was still in touch with all the other characters and a free man as we saw at the end of season 4 and he actually possessed a great many skills that would be useful in tracking down people who are trying to be hidden as well as other skills including the ability to break the necks of large men with his bare hands. Somehow Mahone represented a challenge while T-Bag seemed quite logical to bring back

Yup, Paul basically reached further than the stars for a reason to bring Bagwell back because too many fans would ditch a potentially great chance of a successful reboot if he didn't come back. All Mahone has to do is show his face to the gang like he did in The Final Break and it would make sense since he was a genuine friend. And of course his smarts and fighting ability like you said would be a great asset, better than the likes of Sucre who I have never considered bright at all and was another character out of place in the fourth season, all of a sudden he was talking smart? LMAO. The fans act as if ol Teddy is the only ingredient of a great reboot when there are a lot different spices that could make the show a success.

Agreed. I'd take Mahone over Tbag any day, Mahone was my favorite in the series. William Fichtner brought his A game

reply

yeah... I only kept watching the 4th season for Bill Fichtner's performance.
