Overlooking the fact that the police had only two suspects and they should have been able to find their criminal, I wonder about the plot hole of executing the robbery with her.
Was it part of their plan to have a hostage with her same body? How did they figure that was gonna go down? Or was it just a coincidence?
All of the bank robbers were mixed in with the hostages at one time or another except Steve (Clive Owen) so that the real hostages could testify they were always there. That's why they kept making them change rooms so no one could be sure who was where. When time came to give up, they give their gear to Steve who goes into hiding and they just blend in.
BTW: She was the hostage with the "same" body type.

1 obviously they kept mixing them up. That does not stops the fact that the police could gather that, at one point, one of the robbers had big tits.
2 they end up with TWO suspects with that body type (I know that they tell that to the robber, but they still had another one which they were talking about with her).
So the plothole from the op is not resolved by your reply.
