Wasted opportunities
WWI air combat has such a rich potential. There are so many interesting real stories and real airplanes. I just feel so sad that the movie makers waste this opportunity (money, time, public interest) on such cliche ridden tripe. I mean, it's not the worst movie by a long shot. But really, this is the best they could do?
Is it because the movie makers think their audience is so dumb?
Also, WWI aircraft were often beautifully painted and varied. Why show all of the German aircraft as Red triplanes?
