A 4.7 is insulting

This movie is not great but it’s a pretty solid Christmas slasher .. it’s very uneven and misses in a few areas but it also has good qualities too .. it’s one of those rare 2000s horror movies that I watch every time it’s on

A 4.7 score is a bit shocking

It's more colorful, entertaining and twisted than the original from 1974, highlighted by a superior cast of women.

Unfortunately, the film's tone and ending were marred by the interference of studio exec Bob Weinstein, who wanted a more over-the-top horror flick with cartoonish embellishments. The preposterous ending in particular (with the antagonist crawling through the ceiling -- rolling my eyes) seems tacked-on and almost ruins the movie. Thankfully, I think some versions of the film exist that are closer to Morgan’s original vision, at least as far as the climax goes.

I like the movie and agree that a 4.7 is very harsh.

Agreed. I've seen it four times. It isn't great, but it is watchable with some fun parts. I rated it a 6/10.

What were the good qualities? I didn't enjoy the movie for even one moment.
