Why didn't they do the 42 jersey scene?

They had threats where they were going to shoot Robinson and the players all wore 42 jerseys. That was one of the things I was looking forward to. I know that they couldn't show everything but I was a bit disappointed. It showed their unity as a team. It was still a good film though. But that was the one part I was looking forward to.

I keep wondering what Spike Lee would have done with this bio - unbelievable that he couldn't get financing

Spike Lee would've ruined this movie. Unless he somehow got Denzel to save his movie.
