Is this a comedy?

Or a very bad movie? The first 20 minutes are promising but then everything becomes a joke.
Why didn`t they just run when they started to notice strange things happening? Why do they always return to their room? And then when the police comes they just watch him from the window instead of asking for help, even when its obvious the guy figure it out whats happening. The screenplay is so weak and naive that it made my laugh. I did apreciate the cinematography, the lighting and the set

No. It's not a comedy. It's a romantic comedy.

The manager was a bit cartoonish, but everything else was quite suspenseful.

Thriller/horror films can also be cartoonish to some.

Watch any horror film where they run upstairs instead of out the door. Seen in the most iconic and well respected horror films. Horror films always have their floors when we're annoyed by the main characters actions. As far as horror/thrillers go, I think this is pretty good. Any modern Horror film has its bad points. You need to watch horror films expecting the worst, this I think was quite intense and had good acting and good dialogue

Not a straight-up comedy, but it doesn't take itself 100% seriously, either.
