It says on the trivia that Parker dropped out of this movie and was replaced by Kate.
I've never seen Parker in a role like this (if she plays a similiar role - write which one!!!) and I think she could have been pretty good and surprise us all.
What do you guys think?

Personally, I don't like SJP at all so it would have ruined the movie for me indefinitely. I just can't really recall a role she's had where I've been like "wow!" or "she's an outstanding actress!"..She just doesn't do it for me.
Wine is fine, but whiskey's quicker.

No because not only is Kate Beckinsale far more attractive, she's also a better actress.
shareAs much as i don't like SJP, i find Beckinsale just plain. She has no charisma whatsoever, without being ugly nor beautiful, her eyes are empty, she's like...see-through and boring.
Plus, yeah, the role wasn't a difficult one.
I couldn't help but think of Liv Tyler watching this movie, remembering how great she was in The Strangers...
Beckinsale is totally forgettable, and not only in this movie, but generally speaking.
That's just your opinion you know... Generally speaking, people like her appearance, she's attractive, charismatic and talented actress. She easily switches between girly/romantic types to bad ass/strong female characters. Besides that, she was playing Ava Gardner in Aviator, one of the most charming and charismatic actresses of the last century...and even Martin Scorsese thought she was terrific. So yeah, generally, people like Kate Beckinsale.

No seriously, the whole thought of SJP instead of Kate is pure madness. How or why anyone would even want that is beyond me.
Besides, even from a pure acting standpoint, SJP is in no shape or form better than Kate, and Kate actually does a quite nice job in this one.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
She can't act, even when she's just sat their talking. She is sooo annoying. Her voice and face annoys me. I think Kate Beckensale is a good actress, I've seen her in a few things, Click, Underworld and Van Helsing and she did a good job in them.
