Would Sarah Jessica Parker have been a better choice instead of Kate?

It says on the trivia that Parker dropped out of this movie and was replaced by Kate.
I've never seen Parker in a role like this (if she plays a similiar role - write which one!!!) and I think she could have been pretty good and surprise us all.

What do you guys think?

i wouldnt really be able to picture her with luke wilson anyway. i thought kate and luke made a really good match.

Kate Beckinsale was definitely the best choice. I can't see SJP doing well in the role. Kate is great in action films and this was perfect for her.

HELL no. I'm so glad they chose Kate, SJP would have ruined this movie. Beckinsale is a much more adept actress.

it would have been interesting to see her try something that was different than the romance/comedy role, and she might have done well.

i don't usually care for kate beckinsale, but thought that she fit well in this movie.

Actually Luke Wilson and SJP played a couple in The Family Stone, so I think it would be interesting if they were cast together once again in this movie.
