I think that would be very interesting, but I wish they would have put Eric Lloyd (Charlie Calvin) in the 3rd movie a bit more, he had such a small part compared to the first 2 films. I guess the director thought he must be getting older??? I have a great idea for the fourth if they to actually make one, to complete the triligy. I would have (Buddy Claus) the new baby Clause from the 3rd movie, by accident go into the Univeral Panagram, (the toy making michine that made the toy santa in the 2nd film) and gets bigger and older , say around charlie's age. So buddy skipped all his 10 years of his young life and gets older like around 20 years old he's the same age as his half brother. So now this could be a new problem, Calvin vs clause??? Now scott and Carol would have not knew this would be happening, but it's about time that Bernard came back and told him, he must pass on the tourch to Charlie, but not aware of Buddy's growth changes. So obviously they would need a new father time, for this one, to replace peter Boyle who had passed away. I would have Charlie and Buddy fight over the same girl friend in this one, that would be realy funny? I think Martain short should be like the family psychologist as a joke, to go see (Doctor Frost) just to talk to the boys about there issues??? Its a blonde hair clause vs a dark haired Calvin. I would call this one THE SANTA CLAUSE 4: THE LEGACY CLAUSE.... It looks like there is more then one family member who wants to go into the family business??? That's what Charlie said at the end of the first film... So that would make sense. Just have to two brother's share the job, and scott can take a break as santa, and the the 2 son's of santa can do the job for him, an just end the entire series there... End IT

I would also like to see Bernard come back - I missed him in the 3rd one.

Yeah I thought leaving Bernard out was a mistake, but I don't see anything in the premise of having to "pass the torch" so to speak.

As far as a SC4 I cannot even beging to come up with an idea for the movie, but it does give a good mental exercise as to how much you can do with this idea of Santa Claus and things he gets into and out of all in order to keep the spirit of Christmas alive for those who practice it.

It seems like they should make a Santa Clause 4 because they havent mentioned Scotts parents yet?

Will they make it?

I do think if they did a fouth one, it should be who's going to take over for Scott Calvin, when his time is up? As for Charlie and Buddy, the story should be between two brothers who fight to become the next Santa of the future, an I would call this one, an the last of it all in the series. THE SANTA CLAUSE 4: THE LEGACY CLAUSE, the last of all the clauses an to end the series for good, but also add a prequel to it as well, we need a back story to see how the clause all started and how it will finnally end ??? opinions anyone?

Ok I like this idea. By now the Buddy is 2 or 3 years old and the "Legacy Clause" requires that Santa designate an heir in case anything every happens to him. Meanwhile it's time for the in-laws to meet Santa's parents(corporate bigwigs played by Jon Voight and Lily Tomlin). I dunno it think it would be cool to see Santa's parents and the contrast between them and his in-laws.
