Who watched this movie as a kid?

I am going to admit this here;

I saw this movie with my mom when I was 10 years old and about to go into the 5th grade. We saw this movie while my dad was recovering at the hospital after he had that huge heart attack that nearly killed him.

Back when I was 10 years old, I wasn't really much of a big fan with movies that involved fairytales or princesses. I was mostly into movies that involved aliens, time travel, guns, and ninjas. (Yeah I was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan back then)

But I really gotta say this movie was actually worth watching with my mom while my dad was in the hospital because I thought my dad was never going to get any better and the doctors told us that he might die, the good news is he is alive today thank god and has been doing much better since then.


From what I realized is that some people hate this movie and call it garbage. Can I ask you guys? I don't mean to get a little grouchy here but have you guys ever seen a bad movie at all? Seriously, have you guys ever saw a REAL bad movie in your whole life? I can name 5 horrible ones;

1. Son Of The Mask
2. Spiderman 3 (That movie really disappointed me as a kid)
3. Masters of Disguise
4. Disaster Movie
5. Breaking Wind

Those are real horrible movies I recommend to stay away from.

I am NOT trying to force you to like Lady in the Water, but I really gotta say its a guilty pleasure of mine, I am 19 years old and I still like this movie and I think its way better than those other horrible 5 movies that I mentioned.
