shamefully liked this movie

Let me begin by saying that I am a female and I do not like chick flicks unless I just want to feel dumb for 90 minutes. But I really like this movie. It has its share of funny moments but I wouldn't say it is a romantic comedy. It is really more of a drama. A real take on relationships with some humor.

I like this movie because I can relate to the essence of the story, not necessarily the actual washing of the dishes scene or the bringing guys home but more of to what Brooke said towards the end, after she went to the concert and Gary didn't show up. She took the words right out of my mouth. Going above and beyond for a relationship and not knowing how they got there and all she ever want is to know that she is appreciated. Simple but great writing. Very very real...for me at least.
