Innapropriate scene

Did anyone find that scene where Brooke (Jennifer Aniston), was walking around the house naked, to be over the top? That was so uncalled for!

reply

hmmmm...no...why? it isn't a film for children

reply

That was tame compared to some film scenes, even in comedies.

Agreed as making sense in the plot.
Actually, she was trying to make him jealous of what he was missing, to get him back(?). To say she was bold may also be true, but guess what? He had seen it all before, (except what was 'missing'), remember they had been living together as a couple... So, how could that be inappropriate?
With no discussion though, Brooke didn't get the reaction she was hoping for, and he thought it was meant to make him mad, so they were both worse off...

Anyone remember the music video Rachel Hunter (Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model) did just after she got dumped? It was STACY'S MOM by Fountains Of Wayne.
While she wasn't dressed like the character Brooke in this movie, I have little doubt it was an "in your face" to her ex! (Just look at what you are missing now fool!) And Brooke's "ex" took it that way too, instead of a first move of an attempted seduction...

I'm not sure when the video came out, but the song was circa 2003 (predating THE BREAK UP), and that could mean the video was "the" inspiration for that scene.

When I watched the movie, I kept seeing case after case of bad timing and little communication on both character's part. And I kept wondering, what would have happened if even some of the timing had been as little as half a day different. After the bad timing, they each had hard feelings, and started to deliberately and actively tick each other off.

Jennifer Aniston naked is probably the only reason to watch this shower of shi'ite.

I just saw it and i think it was great and really funny.

she was naked, but you couldn't see anythiny (unfortunately).

reply

She was in her OWN HOME. Believe it or not, some people actually do walk around nekkid in their own home...nothing inappropriate about that.

I'm sorry you feel such shame about your body but some people are quite comfortable with theirs.

For a pg 13 movie uh yea it is.

Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway. ;P

I suppose you haven't seen the "G" rated SINBAD AND THE EYE OF THE TIGER with Jane Seymour (Medicine Woman TV series, and "Bond Girl") and Taryn Powers skinny dipping and drying off in the sun?

What do you make of that movie?

Anyway, Brooke had a waxing session, and she wanted to 'show it off', so how else would she do that? And she wanted her 'ex' to notice her, and *maybe* get him back. She thought that would accomplish two things, but didn't work out that way...
