If a guy was hassling me in a public place like at a baseball game, I'd completely ignore him or tell him to go away, that flirting just doesn't work with me lol. I don't know how Brooke could fall for him in the first place...pushy guys are annoying!
I think it was done bc it was funny. Plus he was persistent. That tends to often work. Plus she seemingly didn't like her doofus current bf that was at the ball game
She had actually checked Gary out before he noticed her. He was like no one she had met before hence the attraction but it was those differences that drove them apart.
Watching it again and just heard him yell at her that she needed to change her name to Picasso and cut off her ear! Duh, wasn't that Van Gogh? Guess he got things mixed up while touring the 16th chapel, LOL!
Yes, but if you read most any dating guide for men, this is what we're told women want - a clearly confident "alpha" male who goes after what he wants.
Every person has the right and choice to analyze their "heart's" desire. If you allow yourself to be drug around by the heart, it is your fault and yours alone. 100 years ago and before, "romantic" marriages didn't exist. Love as we call it these days is a product of modern times and one that does not need to be adhered to. I have a fantastic relationship that is by far the best that either of us have ever had. More compatability and happiness than ever before, and it's because we both were both out of a relationship for over a year and were able to make a wise and thought out decision as to whether we wanted to go forward with a relationship. If you think that by doing this, I am somehow a boring person who does not live life, then you would be very wrong. It's just more intelligent and efficeient to think first then act.
Agreed. You can't be a dope and get suckered into 'loving' someone that's no good for you. People need to take responsibility for their own happiness. It's like the people that fall for get-rich-quick schemes they can't see it for what it is because they are blinded with money signs in their eyes. I truly believes this all comes down to and is an issue revolving around emotional intelligence.
I agree, Vince Vaughn is hilarious; however, a guy like Gary would drive me crazy. He was just too selfish. All his "friends" knew he mistreated her. It was good that his buddy in the bar told it like it is.
Personally, no. I wouldn't respond to that approach. Also, they seemed so mismatched. He was so obnoxious, uneducated and had such a macho demeanor - especially with his comment about how he's working hard so she doesn't have to work eventually. To which she replied that she wants to work. It was a big assumption on his part.
Sorry, I'm perfectly aware I sound snobby but I've no clue why an educated and somewhat cultured woman would go for a guy like that.
