Confused about an episode ending

Series 2 episode six

When Kim comes out of Saints flat she punches that girl and ends up in prison for it. When she gets home saint tells her parents kim was with her all night and thats why she never came home that night. But before it shows her punch the girl, it shows her go home and get into bed with sugar.

How does that work? Confused :S

totally agree most confusing thing ever. she goes home to sugar but then saint meets her at the police station ?

just do what i do when you get dumped, leave a pile of clothes with a note by the canal
