It finally happened!
The most ridiculously over-powerful villain since The Mentalist's "Red John" is DEAD.
Mr. Scratch was so absurd in terms of what he could accomplish (and afford) all while being on the run from every agency in the country, it really hurt the show. Looking forward to the new episodes now that the albatross is gone.
Agree. The way they just kept adding to everything that he was able to orchestrate was really dragging the show for me. I have always enjoyed Criminal Minds for what it was and I don't mind the Super Bad Guy that can last a few episodes. But this guy stretching from season 10 to 13, was just too much. And, really his ending was so flat, I'm not convinced he's dead as bad as that sounds. And the reason is because of how ridiculously over the top they've made him for the last couple of seasons.

In theory, a writer could be sitting there saying "...and after Scratch mass-hypnotizes them into seeing the blood pouring out of his lifeless body, then he just waits to escape from the morgue. Perfect."
It's either that, or he would need Melisandre / Thoros of Myr to bail him out.
I'm going to continue to hold to the belief that he is history. I've waited too long.
