The interventionist Maureen Brine

I don't think she's a good interventionist, she's very dull and not enthused at all it seems to wanna help. She just sits there and comes off as blase about everything, it's like she can't connect with anyone and I just see her as like she could care less, I don't know anyone else get that from her?

I agree. I think the ones when the interventionist gets a little more involved emotionally with everything and everyone are so much better. Yea, its a job but take a little more pride in doing it. I think these interventionists are quite lucky to do what they do especially on TV. I would love to have their jobs. I'd do it for free. Hell I would pay to do it. This show has a HUGE impact on a lot of people especially on addicts. I love this show!!!

Maureen is horrible!! She exudes zero empathy, offers no guidance and laughs inappropriately. I feel sorry for the people who get stuck with her as an interventionist.

reply

Agreed. Her, "okay, go" comment to Megan was incredibly unprofessional.

reply

I completely agree.

Don't like her either. If I was the addict and she were the interventionist, I'd tell them I'd go but only if she did NOT travel with me. Is it her lack of empathy that I'm reacting to? Maybe that's it. I just thought she sometimes didn't know when to stop inserting herself into the process like sitting there at the intake which most of them don't do.

Ugh watching this weeks episode and all I hear is one word replies from her when the family is talking to her, it's like she'd rather be anywhere else then that intervention, she just rubs me the wrong way, it's like she's a robot and has no feelings, like she hates her job, and she's there only for the check
