What's with the publicity, or lack of?

Okay so we have a tiny lil blurb about the movie.
Imdb has this marked at post-prod, but we still don't have MORE information?
No behind the scenes pics? No press?

I'm kinda worried. I hope this doesn't turn out to be another flop. *knocks on wood*

Usually when a movie isn't promoted like it should, its a tell tale sign it's going to be a flop. Mainly because the studios has lost enough faith in it, and won't invest any more money to the publicity.

I LOVE Henry, and I hope this movie does great for him. As well as Michael F.

Know what you mean ...

I hope it does well too. I'm a huge Purcell fan and I want it to be a sucess.

This is Schumacher's second vamp movie since the sucessful "Lost Boys". Hopefully this will help to propel the buzz and get this marketing started.

reply

I know I want this to do well, it's HC's first major role in a while. Or, ever maybe, for a major film seeing as it's Joel Schumacher directing.

reply

Well, we'll just have to wait and see.

And if its still not looking up, we'll just have to help out. ha ha however small scale it may be-- Just spread the word bout the movie.

The Twilight book fans are already buzzing about it (or did, the buzz has kinda died out).

OH man, I hate harrowing occult experiments dating back to the Third Reich.

Stupid Nazis.

Seriously though, I think you'll see a lot more on this film later in '07, heading into 2008.

The lack of marketing is due to the studios who tippy toe very gently with Schumacher material these days. They still think he can make good films given the right material but don't want to invest too much into him. Ex: Batman & Robin/ Number 23.

Basically they're hedging bets.

I mean how this guy made Batman & Robin AND Tigerland, so varied in quality, is beyond my comprehension.
