apparantly creek is a "must see" at the Cannes Film Festival this year.. which is this month i believe?
so hopefully this movie will be out by fall!

The movie isn't being shown at the festival itself - its on the Cannes film market, which is a different thing. My understanding, and I hope somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, is that the market is for films that are still looking to get picked up by a distributor, which means they aren't screened publically but only shown to industry types.
So fingers crossed it does well and we get some concrete news! It won't do it any harm that Michael Fassbender has been drawing rave reviews for performance in Hunger, which opened the Un Certain Regard section of the festival - hopefully that will crank up the interest in Creek.

I hope so too. It seems like forever since we've heard anything other than the lame name change. I read somewhere that they're looking at a November(!) release, but that's not definite yet.
shareThats my understanding of it as well, but, as far as I knew, it already HAD a distributor. Maybe they are looking for international distribution, since, they have something lined up for the states?
shareI think you're right about needing international distribution because they have american distribution. And those companies have the movie on their website. So it will probably take longer for it to come to europe.
