They AREN'T Vampires.

I saw the screening for this and the Nazi's are not what I would consider "vampires". And while the actors in this movie are incredibly hot, I can guarantee that the majority of the theater will be left thoroughly disappointed with this movie. Even the eye candy isn't enough to make up for it lacking terribly in every other department. Sorry to spoil that for you. But I'm just trying to save you some money. If I had gone and paid to see this I would have asked for my money back...Not one person leaving the screening enjoyed it. =/

Hey - unless Dom Purcell wears a paper bag over his head and a giant sack over his body for the entire movie, I guarantee ya that I'll enjoy something in this movie.

I agree, as long as Dom is in it, I know I will at least enjoy seeing him.

The Vampires are NOT supposed to be the typical garlic, fang Vamps from so many movies. It's an occult film. And it's supposed to have the vamp theme & not actually vamps most people are used to seeing. And the so-called vamp is more Nosferatu. Which I am very interested in. I hope he's very ghoulish. The last time I saw a Nosferatu was in Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Have you ever seen Jeepers Creepers? That's what the "vampire" looks like. And don't get me wrong, Dominic is definitely awesome to look at. Shirtless? Oh yes, very awesome indeed.

I saw Jeepers Creepers. You mean they have wings?

I was hoping for the ashy Nosferatu version. The Jeepers Creepers' creature is very dark.

i worked at the company that made this and in the script i read 2 years ago they most definitely were vampires

I have this movie on dvd and not only are there no vampires theres not even the slightest hint of a vampire in the WHOLE FILM. If anyone that has seen this movie belives theres even a vampire under tone to it they need to stop watch movies all together and go back to 3rd grade and pray what the teacher says sinks in this time. The movies about the occult not fanged flying blood suckers from beyond. Also yes ladies your man in shining armor does go shirtless for about 8 seconds so find your pause button and let the drooling begin. Atleast thats what my girl did while telling me to shut up then asking why i can't look like that. Isn't love grand :).

I agree there is insufficient evidence in this creature being a vampire and not able to be defined as such based on the historic definition of a true vampire. However there are undertones like...
1) "Blood sucking" and how did you miss that undertone???
2) Symbols that limit the creatures power which in the traditional sense is what crosses are to vampires.
3) Unable to drink from the dead
4) Not appearing to age on aging far slower than from human standards

While there are also enough variations to suggest it is not in the traditional sense a vampire but in terms of a genre it would fall within the same family.

Your comment about going back to 3rd grade is really arrogant and grossly overstated. It makes you appear to be the fool and not ones that may hold an opinion about the creature being a vampire. Lastly, vampire variations have changed throughout the movie and book making business. So the interpretation of one is very suggestive.

At what point did the educational curriculum start teaching 'Introduction to Vampires' in the 3rd grade?
Could it be that you are just used to the, what I refer to as 'pussified' sparkling vampires from Twilight or the weak romance novel vampires in True Blood?
