The Exorcist Recipe Book;...
It is a truly odd feeling to finally see Dominion (now playing on Cinemax) not but a few months after seeing The Beginning. truth be told,...I enjoyed Harlin's attempt much better, until the last 30 minutes. The Heretic had Richard Burton, (Drunk Off His Ass Yet Still sounding Shakespearean.) And too, odd that both movies are so similar, they are just as disimilar in mood, cinematography, acting etc. So my recipe for this mess would be,...
(1) Take 1 part Heretic (Richard Burtons part) mix well with new/terrible CGI footage 'ala' Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrows' Sir Laurence Olivier's performance,...dice one Renny Harlin Prequel into 2/3rd's and cook your character development with appx. 1/3rd of Dominion's character build-up,...
(2) slice and dice all the CGI footage from both Prequel's and soak in hot water until luke warm.
(3) Throw in some scenes from The Original Exorcist as a Omen to Merrin as to what is still yet to come,...and get that Regan McNeil back here!
(4) Smother that mutha' in Butter and heat until all kernels are fully Popped.
(5) Add a pinch of 'tongue-in-cheek',...braised with the 'Meat' of Legion: Exorcist III and you have a winner.
(6) Mix all ingredient's to a hyped fever pitch,...and Walla! Serves Six,...X3=
6-6-6.
