So i'm confused. When I typed Dominion into IMDB i got E:TB. I had to search for it another way. My question is are the story lines the same? What is different. I feel stupid asking that because i have seen the other one when it first came out, which is why i was so confused when i ordered this one because it said it was just released and i thought i had seen it like a year ago. I am so confused....help..?

Dominion was the first movie made. The studio changed their mind and hired Renny Harlin to remake it. It was rewritten and recast (except for Father Merrin). Harlin's film was "The Beginning", the first one released.
Dominion's story is essentially the same with some character changes/swapping.
It is the better film! More sublte and cerebral. The way it was shot makes all the difference. The demon is actually smart in this one, much like the original Exorcist. It preys on Father Merrin's internal conflict with his past.
The battle is psychological, check it out and see for yourself.

Nope, it's an either/or with 'Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist' and 'Exorcist: The Beginning'.
While I like the idea behind 'The Beginning', 'Dominion' is a far more complex and psychologically powerful film.
I don't understand both movies either. It doesn't seem right to have both Dominion and The Beginning.
