I'm getting the Dutch DVD (i have it special ordered) which is the only DVD with DTS sound for this movie.

I found both, for just a few bucks, at my local Blockbuster. I've also seen both at several Hollywood Video stores in Miami.

Its in the boxset aswell. S'where i got it.

Me too Fish. you buy the boxset you pay 30dollars and you get:

The Exorcist (theatrical cut)
The Exorcist (The Version You've Never Seen)

so you get both versions of the first film.

Exorcist II: Heretic
Exorcist III

so you get both sequels.

Exorcist: The Beginning
Dominion: Prequel To The Exorcist

And you get both versions of Prequel.

all that for 29.99, maybe 39.99 at most. wow...i just did the math and if you pay 40 dollars for the boxet...your paying (ironically i may add) 6.66 per movie LOL so buy the boxset and get all 6 movies (2 versions of 2 movies plus 2 sequel) for between 5 and 7 dollars. thats my advice.

I saw this in the bargain bin a year or two ago at my Blockbuster. I thought it looked like *beep* so I passed. I doubt you can find it at a video-store anymore unless they have leftovers.

Now, can see why I'm so *beep* angry?!

It's actually one of those films that was never supposed to be released, much like Richard Donner's version of Superman 2. It's available in the Exorcist box set as well on its own. It's technically not an 'official' version of the film, rather, an 'alternate' version, dispite the fact that it's nothing like 'The Beginning'.
