The Beginning or Dominion? I already think I'll like Dominion a lot more but I still want to see them both. I don't know which one to start with, or if it even matters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I just bought the boxset and I've already seen the first three.
EXORCIST - 4 out of 4
EXORCIST II - 1.5 out of 4
EXORCIST III - 3.5 out of 4
Beginning is better if you want a true true prequel.

You must be insane. Beginning is horrible and if the main character wasn't Father Merrin, it could have been a separate movie. Dominion is a thematic brother to The Exorcist and is much, much better if you are looking for a movie in the vein of the original.

shareThe simple answer is that NO version of this story is necessary. I don't think anyone was desperately needing to know Father Merrin's backstory.
So, given that, if you like either version of the story, be thankful that one of them worked for you.
Watch Dominion, and don’t even bother with ‘The Beginning’ which is utter trash.
