Disappointing

Look, I'm no film maker, and I appreciate the directors work as an art form, but this movie was so damn disappointing. The portrayal of Pazuzu in this was laughable. After seeing how much of a nasty demon Pazuzu is in 1973 original and how he clearly enjoys torturing Regan, the fact that he does nothing even remotely scary and spends his time having nice and civil conversations with Merrin is ridiculous. The most insulting thing he says is "You're a weak vessel." I mean come on, how lame!
This entire film is one big anti-climax. The antagonist is literally laughable. Floating around with his legs crossed and posing in seductive ways with his weird looking bald cap covering his hair.
When making an "Exorcist" film, give people the horror and offensive shock value they came for. I don't care what anyone says, "Exorcist - The Beginning" is a much more worthy prequel. Although is does deviate entirely from what is described in "The Exorcist" and "Exorcist II - The Heretic".
This movie - great cast, great performances - worst possessed character in the history of film.

I lost respect for the film when the possessed boy had red glowing eyes. I laughed at that, I'm not sure why he went bald as well.

I'm not sure if he's the same demon or not, he was completely different to the original Pazuzu
