How did abigail's parents allow her to do this?
There's no way I would let my 7-year-old daughter be in a movie where she has to dance like a stripper, to be honest

shareYou must have watched really lame strippers in the past then.
You can call me 'Mayor Chapstick.'
Haha, best answer.
Seriously, OP, she isn't really playing a stripper... for goodness sake. Her dance was really quiet innocent, and the other subject matter that was adult in nature was shielded from the young Breslin (who was 9 when the movie was filmed; just playing a 7 year old).
If you would be wary of your child acting period, I can understand that. Some parents prefer to keep their children out of show biz. Obviously, Abigail's parents didn't mind. Her older brother actually did a fantastically disturbing episode of "Law & Order" when he was about 9 himself. He plays a budding psychopath in it. Some parents are just more comfortable with their children pursuing acting. Abigail's parts in LMS was certainly tame.
I'm sure her parents looked at it and saw that it wasn't done in bad taste. She never gets naked, okay?
shareThey must have read the script and decided the movie was in good taste. Plus, I'll bet they thought it was as much of a hoot as did her fictional movie parents.
shareMaybe you are missing the point of the movie - by a mile!
shareThen you need to lighten up
shareI believe you're thinking of Bad Grandpa. Her dance was less erotic then most of the other girls on the beauty pageant. It was just silly and amateurish, but that was the point, to prove she was having fun.
What bothers me is that both of her parents didn't care about knowing how her routine was, the mom did not even know about her costume - and I think that's a bit of a stretch.
"You keep him in here, and make sure HE doesn't leave!"
Oh this is nothing. Did you see what Chloe Grace Moretz's parents let her do when she was 10 in Kick-Ass?
