Escape from Icarus 1 to 2. This nags me to no end.

NASA going back to the 1960s had 'inflatable escape bubbles' made. It's exactly as shown in the picture, small/inflatable
bubbles, where a person can go inside/zip up and at the mercy of someone outside (in a space suit): Drag them to safety.

These are small/easy to stow away and are on ALL NASA/International flight vessels/stations.

Who knows, it would have been different/original and not "2001-ish" with the non-space suit blasting into space to Icarus 2.

...and that computer voice is annoying as hell.

Interesting design, but can you give us some proof that this is more than just some fancy idea that never went into production or past the prototype-phase? For example, can you tell us what's the official name for these "inflatable escape bubbles"? And which is the first space mission that had these bubbles onboard?

The only existence of the phrase "inflatable escape bubble" on all of google is this page, which is a fantasy item invented by sci-fi and gaming fans.

That photo you link to is sourced from here, where the kid claims he has a "manual from the 80's for the space shuttle". There's no such thing.

I used to publish the launch program for KSC, which means that I wrote and edited tons of articles and interviews with the astronauts & engineers at NASA about their jobs, equipment, etc. This fantastical item was never mentioned.
