Can we just talk about the fact that... (spoilers)

Chris Evans' character died by freezing to death in "water?" XD Oh, the irony... lol

Also – while we're on the topic of that scene – the acting... Just... wow. I honestly think that is the best I've seen from him. I was like, "Man, you'd think this guy was actually trying to push through the unbearable pain of keeping going while having to crawl in and out of subzero liquid." SOOOO good.

Well, I think he died from blood loss from a severed leg. And why is it ironic that he died in water anyway?

reply

Well, that's possible too, but the coolant was definitely part of it. And the other person answered that pretty well, I think.

Like almost everyone else was dying via getting burned, but the Captain America actor got frozen. lol

reply

^Because he played Captain America, who was a super soldier in World War II but was frozen in ice until present day, for him to be thawed out to join the Avengers

Haha, that's like how at the end of The Guardian (2006), US Coast Guard rescue swimmer Kevin Costner is lost in the sea during a rescue operation and becomes a legend (because his body is never found), which ties in with the idea that later he'll grow gills and becomes The Mariner from Waterworld (1995).

I thought the same thing about his acting, but also saw in the trivia that he was actually in very cold water for the scene.
