Where's my diversity???

I thought there was a law that there has to be an obligatory black on every space expedition movie.!!! Oh well - at least they threw in some bimbos.

They got native Americans, Asians and Aussies. Hollywood said OK.
Who in the cast/Icarus crew were Native American?

By the way, the voice of Icarus was provided by a black actress. And there was only one Aussie; Searle was portrayed by a Kiwi.

Searle looked native american. Byrne is Aussie. Captain America's sister is in Sydney, isn't she?
Searle didn't look Native American, he looked more like Indian (as in: from India) to me, even though the actor is of Maori descent.

Byrne is Aussie.
Yes. And she is the only one.

Captain America's sister is in Sydney, isn't she?
It's Scarecrow's sister, not Captain America's sister. :o)

Good point. However, Capa and his sister were both played by English actors, and Capa didn't seem Aussie to me, so his sister wouldn't be either. There could be many reasons why the sister was in Sydney; maybe she was married to an Aussie, or maybe Sydney was one of the only inhabitable places left on Earth.

Capa is played by Cillian Murphy who's Irish.

Ouch! Right you are. I stand corrected.

My point that Capa's sister is (arguably) not an Aussie, still stands though.

No problem. Just thought CM might be offended, haha!

Wait... they were all supposedly American, except for the three characters who were played by actors of undeniably East-Asian descent? (Even though the first names "Trey" and "Corazon" are not exactly indicative of a Chinese nationality...)

Hmm.... 

. . . to expect about half the crew to be Asian.

I liked this part of the movie.
