Gravity!? *SPOILERS*

How did that work in this movie!? They're going INSIDE the sun and they're having fights falling off of a cube!? Pretty sure the sun would've torn the whole bomb (and everything and everyone with it) apart before it could ever reach it's surface.

I wondered the same. It's never implied just how much the sun has dimmed, or cooled. As of today, the "surface" of the sun is about 5,500 degrees. New composite metals can handle temperatures over 4,000 before melting. So, we're left to assume that an even newer composite in the next few decades would have been developed to allow a ship/bomb to penetrate this.

Having said that, when you get towards the core, the sun is about 15 million degrees and essentially a continuous massive fusion/fission reaction of atoms fusing and splitting. I don't know enough about thermal physics, but I would have to believe even if the sun "cooled" the temperature at the core would still be millions of degrees, and virtually any object would have been obliterated long before then, regardless of composition, or mass.

I don't recall exactly what the bomb(s) were supposed to do, but it certainly would have made most sense if they stated that the bombs only needed to get past the outer gas layers of the sun to be effective in re-igniting it.
