Is my son allowed to watch?
He is 12 and has seen movies like "The Thing" and "Alien: Resurrection". How is this movie compared to those with violence gore?

shareNo gore really, and not much violence tbh. The Thing and Alien are much more violent. Real, ugly violence is not that common in science fiction cinema so he's good.
PS If he likes The Thing you should recommend They Live!
So he hasn't seen Alien(1979) AND Aliens(1986) BUT ONLY Alien: Resurrection(1997)
You are a very, very bad MOM;-D And next you'll be saying that: 'The Thing' is a movie from 2011, right?!?
EDIT: ..At least Gremlins(1984) has been seen, right?
You are NOT a bad mom, but I think that it might be a little too scary for a twelve year-old.
Laugh while you can, Monkey Boy!
Bad mother for going onto IMDb for parenting advice. Even if it's just about what to watch, she should take matters into her own hands, watch it HERSELF to determine what HER CHILD is and isn't allowed to see. WTF people?!?
We've met before, haven't we?
Do you get medical advice for your child online too?!
We've met before, haven't we?
I think now is the right moment (5 years after you posted this).
shareahaha u mental woman? What could possibly be shown after "the thing" that would further traumatize your child?
Guess you draw the line at boobies? xD
(yes yes - I know, that little kid is 18 now - but I guess he still has nightmares because of his weirdo mom)
