shareI never saw North, although I just read the review of it in wikipedia. I did see the pre-production version of "Have Dreams, Will Travel" (HDWT) however. The plots don't seem that similar, and the reaction of the audience that they used to test the film was very positive. HDWT is more of a love story and the coming of age of two kids. The 'search for parents' aspect is a very minor part of the whole plot.
shareI can't imagine these movies being very much alike. I have seen North. Bruce Willis wears a Bunny suit, and there are other strange, comical things. It's nothing to take seriously.
One of its stars made a reference to HDWT as being "dark".
I wouldn't dispute the description of HDWT as being "dark" if one could only use 1 word to describe the movie. However, if given more leeway I would say parts of it are uplifting, and other parts sad. The plot takes some unexpected turns and brings out one's emotions. The two child actors give a superb performance, but it's definitely not a kids movie.
share*Gasps* Have you seen the movie?! It's not out yet, is it?
Lucky, lucky you...

How did you see it?
Do it show at Cannes?
I have been looking for reviews.
Let me know where I can find some.
Thanks!
