Mary-Sally Hawkins' Role
Who was Mary supposed to be in the film? I know it's mentioned Sally Hawkins' character was cut out in the deleted scenes, but I'm interested in knowing who she was in relation to the story and film. Anyone know?
shareThere's no character named Mary in the book, and elsewhere I saw a post from someone who spotted Sally Hawkins in a trailer for the film, talking to Naomi Watts at a party, so perhaps they invented a character named Mary as a friend for Kitty to share her thoughts with onscreen.
