disappointed by the soundtrack

When watching the movie, I really liked some songs, especially the one Scotts ex-girlfriends sings in the bar (on the OST its called metric - black_sheep). So I bought the soundtrack, only to find out that this song doesn't sound anything like in the movie. For some reason, they used an other singer and it just doesn't have the original groove to it. Seriously, whats the point of an OST when the songs are not the same as in the movie?

Does anyone know where to get the original movie version of black sheep??

[they used an other singer]

That would be Emily Haines; the original singer of the track. She fronts a terrific Canadian band called Metric, who are outrageously underrated and deserve global popularity in my mind. The original track is stompin' and I don't know how anybody could prefer the version by Brie Larson. Anyway, it's all subjective, etc. etc.

I couldn't disagree more, it's one of my most listened to soundtracks. My favorite is the titular 'Scott Pilgrim' or 'I heard Ramona sing.'

Totally agree. Normally I love a score album over a song album but in this case I'd love to get a hold of some of those underground songs used in the movie.

Haven't bought the soundtrack.

I totally disagree. I love the score and will buy the CD.
