Loved this film,**SPOILER**

BUT could not believe yet again hollywood made up the touchdown he got at the end, If you watch the credits you can see the real play where he scores the TD, but of course the refs pulled the play back and his TD was not giving.

I know its there to make the whole thing more interesting and more dramtic, but damn it sure does suck to find out the whole thing was false, it made it look like he won the game for them, when in fact his score was disallowed.

For me the story of a 30 yr old making it in the NFL is dramatic enough any way, did not need to make stuff up.

And on top of that, Vince had already been a pro football player, so that almost completely takes away the inspiration for me.

Another fact is that, the movie made it sound like the game was tied, towards the end of the game with the game on the line, when Papale got his fumble. Actually the Eagles were up 13-0, and then 20-0 after the TD that Papale's fumble set up. The Giants then scored later for a 20-7 final.

I stopped looking up the "real" story in these "true" stories because the make me hate the movie. I liked this movie but was really disappointed when I found out half that sh!t wasn't true.

I lived in Philadelphia when Vince Papale played for the Eagles. I'm not a native Philadelphian but the people I hung out with were and to most of the city population, Papale was a god. Sure, the facts were embellished, but the movie was "based" on the life of Vince Papale.

The other glaring inaccuracy of the movie was that Vince Papale played professional football in the World Football League for two season.
