I was surprised that Papale was of Italian stock after reading it on the internet. This movie is not yet out in New Zealand, do they mention he is of Italian stock in the movie or have they made him out to be just another white American ?
shareHey I just watched this on dvd yeterday, got it from the recent release section which means its been out in NZ for a while now. I dont remember them referring to him as Italian directly in the film but in the speacial features they compare him to Rocky alot, Italian Stallion and all that. The name Vince Papale is a good hint though.
shareWell he lived in South Philly, his last name ended in a vowel and his Italian neighbor fed him when all he wanted to do was watch her tv for a few minutes.
