Credits dont list him, but most True story based movies have a cameo by
real person if they are still alive
Was Vince Papali
or even the coach in the movie at all?

I thought I read he was in the crowd in one of the games but not I might be thinking of Rudy and not Invincible.
shareHe briefly plays a coach. The DVD extra shows the scene of him standing behind Marky Mark clapping on the sideline.
- or so the Germans would have us believe...
Right, he's clapping in slow motion behind Marky on the field at training camp.

Get outta here ya half-a-sissy 'for I give ya a slap.
I watched it last week on AMC, which presented the movie with "pop up" facts that made it much more interesting than it should have been.
Papale, his current wife, his 2 kids, and the son of coach Dick Vermeil all appeared in the movie. None had speaking roles.
If I recall correctly, Papale's wife appeared as one of the fans in the "game" they showed at the end against the Giants...I believe she had the most screen time, as she she was sitting just above Elizabeth Banks.
