The Movie Didn't Mention Papale Only Played A Few Seasons...
They made him look like the greatest football player ever in this movie. Papale only played a few seasons and then he was out.

shareThey said that he only played a few seasons before the credits, and in the dvd special features it goes into more detail about it and says even though he retired one year before they got to the super bowl that he was still a big part of it.
sharethey went into detail as to what seasons he played just before the closing credits, and he was that because of him they got to the superbowl. it said he took them there
they make it look like he was the greatest player who ever lived? no they dont. the film is inspirational, no one thought this nobody bartender, and school teacher, could make it. not even he believed that he could. i think that he decided to try when his father told him not to honestly. and he made it, he saved the team from years of losing. so gimme a break, the guy deserves credit. 30 years old, some high school football, and he makes it into the nfl on his own. he's a real hero, not those jerks who play for the money and fame and women. he did it for philly.

It said at the end Papale played 3 seasons with the Eagles. They mentioned enough times that He was 30. No they didn't make Him look the greatest player ever.
God will forgive them, He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven. I can't live with that.
At the age of 30 he was never going to play many seasons.
Its that man again!!
Another thing the movie did greatly is show how every big hits he get hurts him. At 30 years old, his body is not used to get tackled by guys twice his size. He still manage to play 3 years... that show his character.
shareI was surprised he played three seasons in the NFL. Add the two years in the WFL and a five year pro career without playing college football of any kind is very impressive.
shareThe movie does mention Papale only played a few seasons. And I disagree that the movie made him look like the greatest football player ever rather it showed how tenatious he was to make it through training camp and pre=season. With no prior NFL experience and just playing backyard ball he had enough natural talent to make the team and make a difference.
