a lot of people did not like this , but....

a lot of people did not seem to like this movie, but i dont think it is half as bad as people are saying. It is worth watching as a rental i would say and is not amazing, but its not bad either, i thought it was worth watching, anybody who has seen it agree with me so far?

nope. this movie is just boring. amazingly boring. i dont like shootings in movies, at all, but i think this woud've maybe made this one more interesting, cause the story is just poor.

I liked it. It succeeded in everything it wanted (and needed) to be. The casting could not have been any better than this. Freeman and Cusack were the only two who could pull this off as well as they did in this movie.

reply

Pull what off? What they "pulled off" was making me actually not give a crap what happened to them (or anyone else in this stinker)... which is a feat, considering I like both actors. This movie had zero character development, then expected me to care what happens to these shallow, terribly written characters. None of it was remotely interesting, I didn't experience a single thrill or moment of suspense... I just really didn't care what happened by the end of this thing. I don't understand how anyone could enjoy this, unless maybe it was only the 2nd or 3rd movie they'd ever seen, then maybe they wouldn't notice how horribly cliche everything is.

my husband and i watched this movie and we liked it! everyone has different tastes. we didn't "love" this movie ,but, i don't think it was that bad! i think john cusack is an underrated actor. he's one of my favourites along with morgan freeman. the movie was simple and you're right about it succeeding in everything it wanted and needed it to be.

i liked it so much i bought a copy they had me when the guy got pushed in front of the car and come on we all know at least one "do-gooder" who would risk himself for "the right thing" such as assisting a cop. morgan was awsome as usual

i liked it, sure it had some lame parts but overall it was a good movie and I don't get why people are wasting their time on here posting about how stupid it was and how horrible it was, i mean for people who don't like it so much they sure are talking about it a lot and discussing the script more than people who do like it.

Maybe because they feel angry at having been ripped off by yet another crappy movie, and they're simply venting their frustration in the form of a much needed public service announcement.

That's just a reflection of the number of people who liked it vs. didn't like it. Do the math.

Personally i like ripping bad movies more than i like praising good ones. This is a bad movie. Everything about this film was laughable. It must be really hard to make good actors like John Cusak and Morgan Freeman look bad but this movie pulled it off with flying colors. The dialogue is the worst part about this film, its so half assed and uninspired. The dialogue is even worse than the ridiculous premise of the film. When the line, "I know what this is about, it's about your mother." came up i almost vomitted. In this day and age you would think a cliche line like that would be all but extinguished from the minds of script writers. No amount of talent could have saved that script.

If you liked it, im not bashing you just bashing the movie. Just my two cents. Continue flaming.
