I can't believe that one of my favorite directors has become a hack!

Breaker Morant and Tender Mercies are two of my all time favorite films. This movie was a real let down. It started out ok, and then just became a 'formula' film.

Oh well, I guess everyone needs an easy paycheck at one time or another.

If you read his book you will happily discover that he didn't think much of the project either and did his best to try and get the producers to realise the problems with the script etc.

yeah, he keeps saying things like 'if he has any brains he'll turn the script down' about potential cast members and stuff like that
