"The Associated Press reports that the singer/actress will receive the Artists for Amnesty award for her work producing and starring in "Bordertown" a soon-to-be-released film about the murder of hundreds of women in a Mexican town.

J.Lo will be presented with the award February 14 at the Berlin Film Festival, where the movie is debuting."

this movie is not available in the US yet.
However, I just hope J-lo doesn't claim to solve the murders by the end of it.
I'm dying to see it.
If this movie leaves any kind of taste in my mouth that americans can stop being outraged by these murders, I am going to ask for my money back.

The juarez murders are real and do not need the most important token actress to claim to solve something comparably as difficult as world peace.

The cultural fabric of Cd. Juarez needs to change before making pop culture movies that will only profit off of the murders of women.

According to tabloid reports from Berlin, the movie recieved laughter during scenes meant to be serious, and met with booing at the end.
