This is the worst thing I have ever watched in my entire life.

I caught this on HBO not too long ago. 10 seconds into the lesbian Asian cheerleader singing "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" I began vomiting and bleeding uncontrollably.

I *beep* hate anyone who likes this movie.
Excuse me now as I go kill myself.

reply

so you hate Paul & Ringo? And Yoko Ono? Because they all love the movie....

D-ouche bag.

reply

Not the best musical.
But way better than, for example, Mamma Mia. The only film where I was ashamed by Meryl Streep's acting.

reply

I don't hate them (except Ono). I just hate their opinions, then.

reply

John Lennon would have HATED this film.

"Joey, have you ever been in a Turkish prison?"

reply

John Lennon would have HATED this film.

And this is a sensible comment to make because ... Why?

reply

John Lennon would have hated this film because he had taste.

John probably would have hated most of it. John said he was embarrassed by much of the Beatles' music after the Beatles split up. But he mellowed enough to write an album about his love for Yoko and their son.

Notice I said probably. John was a complex individual, greatly effected by fame, fortune and drugs. I would never assume I could predict how he would feel about anything.

let me put it like this: there were reasons why lennon left. ;)

and yeah, there are enough reasons to hate yoko.

igby goes down is the worst.

not to mention this is much better than glee

I'm taking my talents to South Beach.

reply

Oh yeah... Well you didn't buy 'Ultraviolet' at full price thinking it'd be like 'Kill Bill.' (-_-)**

reply

The worst part was Dear Prudence. Practically all the songs felt forced and out of place. Do you really need to reenact every lyric??

reply

"Excuse me now as I go kill myself."

Have fun with that.

I think he went through with it looking at their posting history. For the first time, I'm kinda glad.

The singers had major talent...but the movie was *beep* I can't believe I actually wasted my time watching it. I felt so stoned when it went off...and i don't even do drugs. Retarted movie, but some of the versions of the songs were better than the Beatles...who are terrible to begin with. Yep, i feel the Beatle fans plotting my death right now, but I don't care....they still suck.

Miranda Coyne:

Oh my God! No! She's got... An Opinion!!!

Who cares what you think, or anyone else for that matter? Anyone who's ever been stoned wouldn't call it "doing drugs", so I assume you have no idea what being stoned is like. I also assume you haven't listened to all of the Beatles music, because anyone who has wouldn't say they suck. They wouldn't necessarily like them, but they would acknowledge the artistic merit and creativity. I used to think the Beatles were whiny, untalented, and overrated. Then I actually listened to their music, all of it.
You can tell me you have, and I won't care or believe you. Same goes with drugs.
Sorry you didn't like this random, B-movie people are blowing out of proportion (overrating and underrating).

reply

Oh dear, what a strong reaction you had you poor thing. Alvin and the Chipmunks might be more your kinda thing?

reply

Hah. That was the hurling point for me too.

Honestly, this was a lame, dishonest and lazy film, propped up by awful version Beatles songs.
There was not a scrap of creativity, even down to the naming of the characters.
