How do you think R^3 will react if she loses to Amanda Nunez?

I honestly don't know who will win because ANYTHING can happen in this sport, especially the women's division.

I can see Rousey, being knocked off of her pedestal, having a hard time getting back on. So assuming Rousey loses, what do you think would happen?

I can honestly see her retiring because she couldn't take the loss from HH, so losing a 2nd time (which proves her losing the title wasn't just bad luck) and putting her down in the pool of non-contenders would absolutely DEVASTATE her! She needs this win!

It wont be good...

I'm not entirely sure she even wants this fight with Nunes...

I think Rousey truly was completely mentally broken after the Holm fight...and I dont think its gotten any better...

I think Rousey is only taking this fight because people are telling her to, I'm sure she's got a ton of people around her saying "You can't go out on the Holm fight, you got to come back and fight 1 more time, If you dont want to fight anymore after that, fine, but you can't go out of the Holm fight"

I dont really think Rousey wants to fight, I truly believe she believed she was unbeatable, believed all her hype more than anyone, and when she lost, it truly Broke her.

I dont think she took this year off for Injuries or because she wanted a break...I think she was truly LOST after the Holm fight and Literally hasn't gotten any better, IMO if she could, she'd probably never fight again, but shes doing it to make other people happy and because deep down she's probably also thinking, "their right, I cant go out on the Holm fight, I've got to fight 1 more time and try to win"...but still she's not doing it because she wants to, but because she feels forced too

with that being said, IMO this is a 50/50 fight...if Rousey can even get a hold of Nunes, she's probably gonna win, there still isn't any women fighters that are even close to Ronda's level in Judo, If Rousey gets a hold of Nunes, she's going down and Then Rousey will almost certainly get the arm bar...

But for me the big question is Rousey's mindset, If she's scared, If she doesn't have the same Aggression, If she's even a little bit hesitant, she's going to have serious trouble getting a hold of Nunes, and if that happens, Nunes is going to light her up and it could get ugly quick for Rousey...

If Rousey is even 80% of her former self mentally...she'll win by Arm bar...If Rousey is has broken as I think, IMO Its going to be almost embarrassing, I could see Rousey coming out and being extremely scared, not trying to close the distance, not trying to get a takedown, just completely frozen and then Nunes lighting her up and ending it with a bad TKO or Ronda possibly quitting after getting rocked(kinda pulling Lesnar and going to the ground and covering up waiting for the fight to be stopped)...

but ya If Ronda loses in any way shape or form...she's DONE...But I dont think that will really be a question, Because if she does lose, I think its going to be such a bad loss, such an embarrassing loss, and such a revealing loss that everyone will know she's DONE and know she never should have even came back in the first place...

If she's wins and wins similar to the way she always does by An early and dominate first round arm bar...Well then good for her because IMO that would be extremely impressive for her to come back that strong after such a devastating loss and IMO being Mentally Broken...

If she wins though, its going to get weird, because somehow the UFC is going to figure a way to give Holm the next title shot....

No way the UFC makes Ronda fight Cyborg in her 2nd fight...way to risky...Instead they'll want to cash in on a Holm/Rousey rematch, they'll sell it as "Its the fight Ronda demanded, its the only fight she needs, She's got to get the loss back"

I expect Holm to have a fight announced sometime around Ronda's fight, and I expect it to be against a favorable opponent, If Holm can get 1 win, They can give her the title shot, but she's got to get that 1 win, she's on a 2 fight losing streak now and not even The UFC could justify that, but let her get 1 win, Then say "Ronda demanded this fight"...and they've got A Massive fight with Rousey/Holm 2

I agree with Billibrown. I think Rosey's spirit and desire was completely spent after Holm. It feels she is fighting because its expected of her. But I really don't get a vibe that she wants to fight anymore. She is no longer the Rowdy won. She's the roughed up one, that has completely destroyed her mentally, spiritually and emotionally.

So if she were to lose I think she will walk away. I don't think there will be much of a reaction from her. I think she will try to slither away from the spotlight and dissappear to hollywood or WWE

Time heals wounds. Her loss was devastating at the beginning, but by the time she did SNL early this year I bet she put most of it behind her. I think what has kept her away from the sport more than anything was her obligations unrelated to MMA. It takes time to square that all away.

Ronda has seen Holly lose twice now. Even though Tarverdyan is a buffoon, there's plenty of tape to look at and learn from, and Ronda is well aware she played a stupid game by chasing Holly down. As for Amanda, it all comes down to how well she can avoid the trip. If she aggressively goes for the knockout, that sounds bad since it sets up an easy trip for Ronda. I think Amanda has a better chance by playing it patiently, but again, she has to avoid the trip if Ronda decides to chase her down. Holly turned the corner when Ronda chased her, but Holly is a different fighter. It'll be interesting to see how Amanda plays it.

If you can read this then you are trying too hard.

I found that most of her opponents have no self-control when it comes to not bumrushing Ronda, I cannot understand why. Nunes is a bit of an aggressive fighter so I hope she checks this... No one is gonna beat Ronda like that.

Agreed. Miesha showed the division how to survive the early rounds against Ronda by staying back, but after that fight, they still kept rushing forward.

I think she is only fighting to fulfill contract and she probably has something to promote at the time.

Going unbeaten seemed like the most important thing to her. That went so did her attention, movie deals went our the window and non UFC related commercials disappeared. She wasn't a great talker that could bounce back and promote a comeback.

If she loses her next fight, I think she will retire.

As you mentioned, she couldn't handle the loss from Holm. I think she's barely holding on. I mean, Jesus took her a year to come back after her only loss. If it happens again, she's done IMO.
