Herb "Early Stoppage" Dean is officially one of the worst refs in MMA

W-T-F?!? Does this guy think he can see the future or something? How many championship fighters is this imbecile going to rob of the chance to come back from the brink of defeat? RDA was still standing when he called that fight, definitely rocked and in trouble, but still one punch away from a comeback. And the same with Rousey, except it would have been a hip toss instead of a punch. Sure, she was rocked and in trouble, but WTF man?!? Yeah, two more connections and Rousey was done, but guess what Herb, she wasn't done. And seriously, this guy actually has fought several MMA fights, so how he can consistently pull this bullsh!t is beyond me. I'll take Mazzagatti any day over Dean, that guy just has bad luck with weird sh!t happening. Dean thinks it's better to protect a fighter from 0.000001% more brain damage than to actually let the fight reach a decisive finish. Love or hate Rousey, she should ask for an immediate rematch because THAT was bullsh!t and anyone who says otherwise don't know sh!t about MMA. Period.

She was knocked out standing, not even intelligently defending her self. Hell she wasn't even stupidly defending her self by throwing haymakers and just trying. Herb stopped it before Nunes really went in.

What you mean to say is it was an early stoppage. Obviously. I mean, she was still standing and already recovered from being rocked.

That's because it was a great stoppage. Rousey was outclassed and taking a beating. She did nothing to attack or defend, just kept getting hit. Perfect stoppage... although I would have loved to see Ronda take more punishment as I don't like her at all.

Yeah Rousy had atarget painted on her mouth and nose and Nunes kept hitting the bullseye. That last one was on the jaw and really punctuated that finish. Ronda was grappleing with the fence.

Tito, I know you know that ain't true. Nunes repeatedly has finished girls by choking them out after stunning them with punches, and she's lucky Herb "Early Stoppage" Dean was reffing, because she would have been in Ronda's playground on the mat and she sure as sh!t wouldn't have choked Ronda out as easily as McMann or Miesha. And you know it.

Good thing Herb "Early Stoppage" Dean wasn't reffing the Zingano/Nunes fight, because he would have called it in the first round for Nunes. And seriously, I don't care how much you hate Ronda and/or how much you feel threatened by female fighters, but that's an early stoppage. Period.

Whatever your personal issues are, I really don't care, but regardless, that's an early stoppage. Simple as that. I mean, seriously, the stoppage of Fedor's fight with Hendo was controversial, and this was WAAAAAAAYYYYYY earlier than that, for F's sake! Sorry, but Dean sucks and he should go F himself, he's bad for the sport.

Well, actually, either they are haters, straight-up retarded, or stubborn as a mule, but it's usually one of those three.

I actually enjoy WMMA and have never had an issue rolling with women. You have terrible assumptionso and I feel the stoppage was fine and so does the majority of all the MMA community which you like to use to back up your opinions.

No offense, seriously, but if you don't think that was an early stoppage, I really don't know what to say. For starters, back in the day, PLENTY of fighters got three to four more shots to the head AFTER they were KO'd. Now I'm not saying that's cool, I'm just saying it's a fact. And because that's extra, unnecessary brain-damage, they started jumping in RIGHT after they were KO'd, which I'm totally cool with. But unfortunately, you also have the problem of flash-KO's, so the fight is called over, but the guy literally is already ready to fight and now it's over. Luckily, flash KO's aren't too common and most refs can't jump in that quickly. But THAT!?! Come on, sure, Ronda was in big trouble, and sure, she was wobbled/hurt, but that fight was NOT over. Like I said before, if Herb was reffing Nunes/Zingano, Zingano would have been robbed of one of the most impressive comeback performances of that entire year, and that's wrong. If MMA is now supposed to cater to the masses SOOOO much that we are going to start calling fights BEFORE the fighter is actually KO'd, then MMA as a martial art is dead in the water. Because Ronda MIGHT have been able to not only take 2-3 more of those shots, she also could have turned it around on the ground, and as someone who rolls as well as being a MMA fan, you *should* know this...

Ronda was done, soon as she couldn't get a clinch it was over. Her striking is trash. Was a good stoppage hence why knowledgeable mma fans, analysts, Dana and fighters have not complained

The Ronda/Amanda stoppage was one of THE most precision pinpoint stoppages I have seen. Ronda should buy Herb a house for stopping the fight when he did.

There's plenty of fights where the stoppages have been too soon, but this wasn't one of them. That fight looked like an adult beating up a child it "looked" so mismatched. There was no intelligent defense. Ronda's reactions were so poor that I am almost inclined to think she was experiencing flashbacks back to the Holms fight. She was dazed, out on her feet, and still stumbling around after the fight was called. But hold your breath for that rematch request tho, lol.

The timing of the stoppage was 100% perfect. Kudos to Mr. Dean.

If the fight went on nothing would have been different. Nunes was not going to the ground with her, she made that perfectly clear and was content to just hammer away at Ronda until she fell.
